Bill G. Kortesis, M.D., FACS, is a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic plastic surgery. Dr. Baker grew up in western North Carolina and attended Wake Forest University for both undergraduate and medical school. During this time, he was drawn to the lifesaving interventions of general surgery. With a plan to be a trauma surgeon, he moved to Charlotte to complete his rigorous general surgery residency at CMC, now Atrium Health. During this time, Dr. Baker participated in cancer resection surgeries that ultimately led Dr. Baker to pursue plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, consistently ranked as one of the top hospitals in the country.

At the Cleveland Clinic, Dr. Baker participated in thousands of complex plastic surgeries, including pediatric craniofacial, hand and upper extremities, rigorous microsurgical reconstruction for cancer and traumatic injuries of the head and neck, extremities, and breast. He also trained and participated in extensive cosmetic and aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body with some of the country’s most renowned cosmetic surgeons; including Drs. Guyuron, Zins, and Totonchi.

Dr. D’John is a Board-Eligible Plastic Surgeon specializing in cosmetic plastic surgery. His medical journey started with attending medical school in South Carolina. He went on to become a Board-Certified General Surgeon after finishing general surgery residency in Michigan at Trinity Health. Following this, he completed an additional three-year plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at Corewell Health Beaumont.

To bring the best possible care to his patients, he returned to the Carolinas to complete an aesthetic surgery fellowship at H/K/B Cosmetic Surgery, rounding out a full decade of surgical training.“Everyone has a right to be comfortable in their own skin. Outside of the operating room, Dr D’John values being a devoted husband and father. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Megan and his two children. Dr. Trent Douglas is an experienced, trusted, and recognized authority in the field of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Mary Gingrass is a nationally renowned board-certified plastic surgeon practicing in Nashville, TN for over 25 years. Together, with fellow female plastic surgeon Dr. Melinda Haws, they are dedicated to your plastic surgery needs. Dr. Mary Gingrass is a third-generation plastic surgeon, born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1989.

Dr. Gingrass did her residency in general surgery and plastic surgery at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine and completed her training with a fellowship at Nashville Plastic Surgery, with an emphasis in aesthetic surgery, breast surgery, and body contouring. Dr. Gingrass is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

She is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Aesthetic Society, and in 2007 was inducted into the prestigious American Association of Plastic Surgeons. Locally, she is a member of the TN Medical Association. She also served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center for over 20 years.

After ten years learning and practicing Plastic Surgery in Texas, Dr. Gronet is excited to return home to work with the H/K/B Team in Greensboro. Dr. Gronet attended college and medical school in North Carolina at UNC-Chapel Hill and the Brody School of Medicine at ECU. He was the first-ever graduate of an Integrated Plastic Surgery training program from Brody.

This brought him to Texas, where he trained with experts and legacy educators at Baylor Scott and White Hospital. Previously, Dr. Gronet served as an Assistant Adjunct Professor at the UT Health Science Center and the UIW School of Medicine.

Dr. Melinda Haws is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons as well as the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Haws received her medical degree from the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 1991, where she met her future partner, Dr. Mary Gingrass. In her training, Dr. Haws completed a six-year combined general surgery/plastic surgery residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, Illinois. From there she came to Nashville for a six-month breast and aesthetic fellowship with Nashville Plastic Surgery.

After working as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Dr. Haws returned to Nashville in the spring of 2002 to join her best friend, Dr. Mary Gingrass, in practice and The Plastic Surgery Center of Nashville was born.

Dr. Shawna Kleban is a board certified plastic surgeon specializing in aesthetic treatments of the face, breast, and body. Dr. Kleban believes furthering the field of plastic surgery is of great value. Attending and presenting at regional and national conferences allows Dr. Kleban to share her experience and knowledge and continue to improve her craft.

She has published multiple peer-reviewed articles and book chapters in the field of plastic surgery. She enjoys teaching the H/K/B aesthetic fellows and visiting residents from Wake Forest and UNC. As a female surgeon, she enjoys mentoring and learning from other women in her field. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing/painting, live music, yoga, downhill skiing, and international travel. She is excited to explore all that Charlotte and Huntersville have to offer with her fiancée and her two dogs.

A native Oklahoman, Dr. Tim Love is a double board-certified cosmetic surgeon with over 30 years of expertise. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. His extensive surgical training spans general, vascular, cardiac, and plastic surgery, completed at top institutions including the University of Oklahoma, Emory University, and Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard.

Dr. Love has earned over 25 “Best Of” community awards, reflecting his commitment to excellence in cosmetic surgery. He has contributed his expertise to five FDA-sanctioned breast implant studies and is recognized as an innovator in minimally invasive techniques for the face, breasts, and body.

Dr. Messa is a dual Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who has devoted his career to helping others through cosmetic plastic surgery. He is a dedicated physician whose greatest satisfaction comes from seeing the affect his work has on helping patients look and feel better. His warm and compassionate mannerism enables patients to feel more comfortable and secure as they experience the benefits of plastic surgery.

Dr. Messa completed his undergraduate education at LaSalle University where he graduated magna cum laude, and was a scholar athlete and Rhodes Scholar nominee. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the prestigious Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. He subsequently completed general surgery training at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, receiving honors as an outstanding surgical resident and teacher. He then completed training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania Medical Center.

Dr. Moit grew up in Southeast Missouri in the small town of Bertrand. He attended Southeast Missouri State University where he obtained a Bachelors degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. From there he went on to medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Dr. Moit knew he wanted to be a surgeon as he thought it was a true gift to be able to help patients with his hands. He went on to complete a rigorous 5-year general surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Peoria. During his time in Peoria he realized his true passion was plastic surgery.

He was fortunate to be trained by several fantastic plastic surgeons during his general surgery training, including Dr. Glyn Jones (editor for Bostwick’s breast surgery, one of the most extensive breast surgery textbooks read by all plastic surgeons) and Dr. Babis Rammos, a leader in both body contouring and aesthetic surgery who frequently speaks at national and international conferences.

Dr. Quang was born and raised in Oklahoma and is proud to return home to serve the community that shaped him. He completed both his undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Oklahoma. His surgical journey began with a General Surgery residency at the University of South Alabama, where he discovered a deep passion for Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. This led him to pursue a highly competitive three year fellowship at Summa Health Systems in Akron, OH, where he received extensive training in oncologic and traumatic reconstruction, craniofacial surgery, and aesthetic surgery.

Dr. Quang is board certified in General Surgery and brings a patient-centered approach to every aspect of his practice. “My goal is to help my patients feel more comfortable in their own bodies. I believe that when they do, they can project a newfound confidence that is truly life-changing.”

Board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Rick Rosen believes that skill, in addition to communication, is what contributes to his outstanding results. Because of this, she has been exposed to the entire breadth of plastic surgery.  

Born and raised in Texas, she completed her undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas and then earned her MD with High Honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Dr. Wood and her husband relocated to beautiful NC after medical school, where she completed her 6-year integrated plastic surgery training at Wake Forest Baptist Health, receiving a comprehensive education in all facets of plastic surgery including oncologic reconstruction, pediatric plastic surgery, and aesthetic surgery.

Dr. Wu is a double board-certified plastic surgeon with expertise in breast augmentation, reduction, and lift procedures, as well as implant removal revision surgery. She also specializes in abdominoplasty, liposuction, body contouring, fat grafting, and non-surgical injectable treatments. She is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Wu received additional aesthetic training during her Aesthetic Society endorsed 1-year fellowship with renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Jim Grotting in Birmingham, Alabama. She was an active faculty member at the University of North Carolina, performing a range of procedures including breast and body reconstruction, hand and facial surgery, and aesthetic surgery.

Her academic achievements include the Outstanding Resident Teaching Award, service on the Residency Review Committee, and several research grants for her work on patient preferences and social media utilizing crowdsourcing. With over a decade of experience in private practice, Dr. Wu brings her expertise to help patients achieve their aesthetic goals.
